Brett Davis founded Meridian Growth Services in 2010 in order to fill a critical need for high-growth businesses: the ability to effectively execute strategic go-to-market projects without sacrificing existing sales productivity.
With 20 years of sales leadership experience in successful high-growth technology firms, Brett brings extensive sales management and executive expertise to clients’ efforts. As principal, Brett provides leadership and executive-level counsel on client engagements, and is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and overall management of the firm.
Prior to founding MGS, Brett served as EVP, Sales & Marketing for DDC Advocacy, a leading public affairs technology and campaign services firm serving the Fortune 500. While there, he led a comprehensive update of the Sales and Marketing functions while also driving record revenue and growth for the then-14-year-old firm. Previously, he served as Vice President, Sales, Premier Accounts at Verizon Business, where he integrated the Cybertrust sales organization and led a senior sales team dedicated to selling information security services to the Fortune 500.
Before Verizon, Brett was Vice President of Sales at Cybertrust (formerly TruSecure), the industry-leading cyber security solutions and managed services provider. While at Cybertrust, he helped drive the growth of annual sales from $40M to $200M, executed sales integrations from multiple acquisitions and mergers, and helped position the firm for its sale to Verizon Business.
Prior to Cybertrust, Brett held various senior sales management positions at Digex, Inc., a successful global web hosting and managed services provider. During his tenure at Digex, he was a key member of the founding team in growing the managed hosting business from $0 to $240M in annual revenues, executing two successful IPOs, raising $1.2B in a secondary offering, and executing the $5.7B sale of the business to Worldcom.
Brett holds a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University and resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children.
Michael Sanders drives core project management and execution efforts for client engagements and implements key business development activities for Meridian Growth Services. An early addition to the team, Mike has been central to the firm’s strategic development, planning, and growth almost from the start. His areas of expertise include sales messaging and communications, strategic planning, content development, and deliverables creation.
Previously, Mike served as Director, Business Development Communications for DDC Advocacy, an industry-leading provider of SaaS-based political mobilization software, as well as campaign-style public affairs and communications services. In that role, he was responsible for supporting the messaging, proposal, and communication needs for all of the firm’s sales and business development activities. He also played key roles in the company’s corporate rebranding and repositioning process, as well as its forays into growth markets.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. Originally from the Boston area, he currently resides in Washington, D.C.
